DESCRIPTION:The Geneseo Chamber is teaming with the Geneseo VFW Post 5083 and the VFW Auxiliary again this year to honor veterans in Geneseo this November.\n\nTie a Yellow Ribbon is an easy concept – volunteers tie yellow ribbons around every tree at the City Park and boulevard on State Street. Businesses\, organizations\, churches and schools are also encouraged to participate by tying yellow ribbons around the trees on their property.\n\nThe ribbons go up on the afternoon of Saturday November 1. Volunteers will be at the City Park on North St. in the Rotary Pavilion shelter to distribute yellow ribbons to those looking to tie a yellow ribbon. The ribbons stay up through Veteran’s Day and come down on Wednesday November 12.\nWe will need volunteers to help tie ribbons. The effort should only last 1-2 hours with enough volunteers.
