Kickoff the holiday season in Geneseo on Friday November 15 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm! A great lineup of holiday warm-up events are planned for the 2024 Geneseo Christmas Open House, featuring the Shop Geneseo! promotion kickoff, Candlelight Shopping, FREE Horse & Wagon Rides, and much more!

Also this year at 6:00 pm, we will celebrate the FIRST LIGHTING of the new City Christmas Tree! Santa & Mrs. Claus will be on hand to help the City of Geneseo light its new Christmas Tree for the first time at the intersection of State & Second Streets.

Free Horse and Wagon rides will be offered to shoppers enjoying candlelight shopping, taking shoppers for a horse drawn stroll through Downtown Geneseo, at the City’s Christmas lights and decorations are illuminated for the first time this holiday season! The Horse & Wagon Rides are sponsored by: Springfield Armory.
